Boilermaker

A boilermaker fabricates, installs, and repairs the big steel pressure vessels that hold steam and chemicals — boilers, tanks, and processing vessels in power plants, refineries, and factories. They cut and shape heavy plate steel, roll and weld it into cylinders, rig the finished vessels into place, and inspect and patch the ones already in service, often in confined, hot spaces.

Boilermakers work on construction sites, inside plants during shutdowns, and at refineries, often traveling for long jobs and working at height or inside vessels. The role suits people with strong welding skills, comfort with heavy industrial work, and the head for safety that high-pressure systems demand.
