Wind turbine technician

A wind turbine technician installs, maintains, and repairs the turbines that generate wind power. They climb high into turbine towers to inspect and service mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot and fix faults, replace components, and keep turbines running efficiently — often working at great heights and in remote, windy locations.

The work is physically demanding and not for the faint of heart, requiring comfort with heights, confined spaces, and weather, plus strong electrical and mechanical skills. Technicians work for wind energy companies and turbine manufacturers.
