A DevOps or platform engineer builds the infrastructure, automation, and tooling that let development teams ship software quickly and reliably. They set up CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment and infrastructure (often as code), manage cloud environments, build internal platforms, and bridge development and operations so software flows smoothly from code to production.
