Technical program manager

A technical program manager drives complex, cross-team technical initiatives from start to finish. They plan and coordinate large engineering programs, manage dependencies and timelines across multiple teams, identify and mitigate technical risks, track progress, and keep stakeholders aligned — combining program management with enough technical depth to engage with the engineering itself.

The role demands stronger technical understanding than a standard program manager, since the programs involve real architectural and engineering complexity. TPMs work at tech companies on large, multi-team efforts.
