Program manager (technology)
Description
A program manager coordinates large, complex initiatives that span multiple teams, projects, and stakeholders. They plan timelines and dependencies, track progress, identify and remove blockers, manage risks, run the communication and meetings that keep everyone aligned, and drive the whole effort to completion across organizational boundaries.
The role is about execution and coordination at scale rather than owning product direction, requiring strong organization, communication, and the ability to herd many moving parts. Program managers work across tech and many industries.
The job suits organized, calm, persuasive people who thrive on bringing order to complexity and getting large groups of people to deliver something together on time.
