Cloud architect
Description
A cloud architect designs how an organization uses cloud computing — the structure of its infrastructure, applications, and data across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. They plan scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud environments, set standards and best practices, guide migration from on-premises systems, and make the high-level decisions that shape how everything runs in the cloud.
The role is senior and strategic, requiring deep technical knowledge plus an eye for cost, security, and business needs. Cloud architects work at companies of all sizes and at consultancies.
The job suits experienced engineers who can see the whole system and make the architectural choices that everything else is built on top of.
