Data analyst
Description
A data analyst turns raw business data into clear answers that guide decisions. They write queries to pull data, clean and organize it, analyze trends and metrics, build dashboards and reports, and present findings to teams who use them to track performance and choose what to do next.
More focused on describing what's happening than on predictive modeling, the role relies on SQL, spreadsheets, and visualization tools plus a solid grasp of the business being measured. Analysts work in nearly every industry, and the most valuable part of the job is defining the right questions and spotting when a surprising number reflects a real change rather than a data error.
