Description

Event technicians set up, operate, and break down the technical equipment that events depend on — staging, rigging, power, and AV. The work is physical and fast: loading in and out, assembling structures and systems, running equipment during events, and troubleshooting under the pressure of live timing.

They work for event production and rental companies and venues. The role suits fit, practical, technically capable people who don't mind heavy work and long hours, can solve problems quickly when something fails live, and take pride in the unseen labour that makes events run smoothly for everyone else.
