EKG technician

An EKG technician performs electrocardiograms and related cardiac tests that record the heart's electrical activity. They attach electrodes, operate the equipment, run resting EKGs, stress tests, and Holter monitor setups, ensure clean tracings, and prepare the data for physicians to interpret, often working with patients who are anxious about their hearts.

The role is focused and technical, requiring accuracy in placement and recording since a flawed tracing can obscure a serious problem.
