Description
A live sound engineer manages audio for concerts and events, mixing performers' inputs in real time and tuning the system to a specific room and crowd. The work is reactive and high-pressure: setting up and checking equipment, then responding instantly to feedback, failures, and changing conditions during a show, with no chance to redo.
Engineers work on-site at venues, festivals, and touring productions, often on irregular, late hours. The role rewards technical fluency, fast troubleshooting, and the situational judgement to keep a show sounding right as it happens.
