Motion designer

View resources

Description

A motion designer brings graphics to life through animation — title sequences, explainer videos, UI motion, social content, and broadcast graphics — using timing, movement, and sound to communicate and engage. The work combines design fundamentals with animation tools and an instinct for pacing and rhythm.

Motion designers work across agencies, studios, and in-house teams, often collaborating with editors, designers, and developers. Generative video tools can produce standard motion graphics from prompts, so complex narrative motion, dramatic timing, and bespoke direction become the differentiators.
